Management Team
Michael G. Lunsford, CEO
Michael Lunsford is CEO of NCL and has been associated with the company for over 30 years. He has actively participated in over 250 on-site liquidations of hotels, hospitals, industrial plants and retail stores. Michael is the architect of the company’s e-commerce business-to-business initiatives. Michael has published numerous articles on the hotel liquidation process, has been a featured guest on CNN Moneyline, CNBC and CNN and is a featured speaker at various hotel industry and trade conferences.
Donald J. Hayes, President
Mr. Hayes began his NCL career in 1974. Throughout his 30 plus years working in the hotel liquidation industry he has sold it all, from antiques, collectibles and high end hotel furniture, fixtures and equipment, to the opposite extreme. Every project he orchestrated met or exceeded the clients’ expectations. He has worked for many well-known hospitality moguls including providing repeated liquidation service to Donald Trump. Mr. Hayes has more than a few stories to tell about customers that were willing to take extreme measures in order to obtain a piece of hotel history, memorabilia, or simply a bargain. He has seen many lines wrapped around skyscrapers waiting to gain admittance to NCL liquidation sales such as the St. Regis, Sands Hotel and Casino, Picadilly Hotel (well known for the Helen Hayes Theatre) and other landmark hotels throughout the United States and beyond. Every hotel liquidation is a challenge he gladly accepts. Adhering to construction schedules, budget limitation, nor Mother Nature, will stop him from achieving his goal: Selling it “to the walls”. This may mean selling marble off of the walls, selling palm trees planted on the hotel grounds, and selling carpet off of the floors. You name it, Mr. Hayes has probably sold it. His experience allows him to lead his professional liquidation staff toward success which equals client satisfaction.

She has an extensive background in the liquidation industry including on-site sale experience. ADMINISTRATION
Debbie Hayes , Controller
Debbie was initiated into the NCL liquidation business over 30 years ago when she utilized her talents to assist in on-site liquidation sales. She then pursued a different career in the accounting field, where she drew upon her detail-oriented skills for many years. In July of 2007, Debbie rejoined our NCL team as Controller in our corporate office. She is responsible for overseeing all aspects of NCL’s finances including accounting, payroll, benefits and commercial insurance. She also follows up on the work performed by our on-site bookkeepers to implement proper accounting procedures pertaining to all sale proceeds and sale expenditures. We’re still not sure how she is able to handle such vast and varied duties but we’re sure glad she can!
